Dancers from Ars Akademy qualify for the world finals

On 31 March 2024, dancers from Ars Akademy, a private school of arts, took part in one of the world qualifying rounds of the Dancestar competition in Brno. Qualifiers for the competition have been held since November 2023 in countries including North Africa, Malta, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania. Thirty dancers from our Partizánske and Dolné Vestenice branches competed with six routines for a place at the world championships in Croatia. Against strong competition they won two 1st places, with Aladdin and Double Bounce, and four 3rd places, with Leví kráľ, Don't stop the music, Summertime sadness and World of feelings. The happiest moment came after the competition, when the qualification results arrived. The dancers had qualified with 4 routines for the world championships, World Dance Masters Dancestar, to be held from 22 to 26 May 2024 in the picturesque Adriatic resort of Poreč in Croatia. World Dance Masters is a spectacular event with more than 7,000 dancers from all over the world. Alongside the competition, the week offers countless workshops with leading international teachers, further dance contests, a freestyle battle, a gala show and plenty of other activities. Ars Akademy would like to thank all the dancers for representing the school, the town of Partizánske and the village of Dolné Vestenice, and all the parents who supported the dancers and helped out in Brno.
